The
Confession of Faith
of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, the denomination
of which we are a part, places us in the stream of conservative,
evangelical Christianity.
As
conservative Christians, we believe in the historic doctrines
of the Church--the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, his
atoning sacrifice on the Cross for the sins of mankind, his
bodily resurrection and personal return in the last days.
As
Evangelicals we do not isolate ourselves from the world, but
believe that we are called to engage the world in order to become
"salt and light" in it.
As
United Brethren, we respect the diversity of the Church. We
prefer to focus on those things that are essential to the Faith
and allow for differences in the finer points of theology. |
